The movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas have Jim Carrey, was released in November of cc0, reaching a gross high of over $200 million in the U.S alone (The Numbers). However, I feel that this version has over exaggerated the original story, and I will back this up by showing many examples of how Dr. Seusss classic turned into a marketing, privilege frenzy.Dr. Seusss original fable is a simple story told with a keen moral that criticizes the commercialization of Christmas. The original story features an Ebenezer Scrooge type wildcat that lives up the mountains outside Whoville.
